how much is it the world spends on war these days, £500 billion p.a.? funny how we seem to be far too busy killing each other to save ourselves

However much we're spending, it's too much, I know that. We need to grow up and quit playing caveman politics. We're living in the 21st century now, not the 1st.
Einstein once said something to the tune of:
"It seems our technology has exceeded our humanity"

^ when kyle talks like that, i start to believe that i actually have no brain... -.-
i believe that maybe ppl who don't go to heaven after they die, are sent back to earth to take another chance to make up for their sins... so, that's why i think we shouldn't kill animals... but, hey, that's just me...

Maybe this is better?:
I think we should like stop war and stuff because it's like bad and stuff you know?
But actually, Marina, I'm a little confused on your post... Why shouldn't we kill animals? Not that I'm for it, but I've never heard that it's a sin, or something you won't go to heaven for.

No, silly. I think that people who don't go to heaven after they die are sent back to Earth as animals to make up for their sins. So, that's why we shouldn't kill animals. We have to give them a chance to make up. Get it? And, no, that's not MY religion. It's called 'Catharism' and it was Christian church just like Ortodox Church or Catholic Church or Protestantism. Difference is - they called Catharism a sect. I wouldn't call it a sect. It was religion that came from heart, not from priests. Protestant Church took some of Catharism elements after Catholic Church killed all of Cathars. Look, I don't say I am a Cathar, 'cause I am not. I am Ortodox. But, there are things that I agree, and thing I don't agree on, when it comes to my, or any other, religion. Just take a look. I am sure anyone would find something to agree on. www.cathar.info/They refused to eat meat.

No, I get it. But it seems a little too anthropocentric (that means, centered around humans) for me. Think about it, the Earth is 4.something billion years old. There's been life on Earth for I think about 3.5 billion years. There's been modern humans on Earth for 200,000 years. So if animals are just people who sinned in a previous life who are getting a chance to "make up" for their sins, then why were there animals on Earth before people?
Also, there is such a huge diversity of animals on Earth, how is it determined what type of animal you'll become?
I don't mean to be rude. But I think if you are going to believe something, you should really understand it and be able to defend it.

Exactly why I left my old religion. There are so many religions out there claiming that they are the "truth", how am I supposed to tell which one is really the truth? That's why I don't think god cares what religion we are. Either that or he's really an asshole for confusing us and then sending those of us who don't believe "the truth" to hell when we die...

Haha maybe just post a link next time... Anyways, thanks a ton for that map! It looks like the inhabitants of Kosovo are Sunni Muslim; same as in Albania. Question for Marina: is that why there is all the strife between Serbia, Albania, & Kosovo? I was also surprised to see Tibetan Buddhism in Russia! I kind of feel like posting a map of North American religions now, for comparison...

Oops! I kind of didn't make my point here. Life was on Earth I think by 3.5 billion years ago. However, there was no "animals." For quite some time, the life was very simple single celled life. Microscopic. Animals don't start appearing in the fossil record until 600 million years ago.

Question for Marina: is that why there is all the strife between Serbia, Albania, & Kosovo?Yes. Mostly because of that. That was the beginning. Now it's way more complicated.
