I agree with Rogue, I am not sure either.
But I don't really care that much.

That's exactly my point... If I can make choice (and I can and I do) then I am happy and I at one point of my life I will turn around and say: "Yeah, I had ups and downs, I made mistakes, but now everything is exactly what I wanted"... I really don't like "putting things in God's hands" when I don't even know if he exists...

What i will say is that if God did exist where has he been all these years? In every religion we, paticularly the 3 Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) we are told to believe in God's signs. However if he did exist why doesnt he show himself, it would make life a lot less complicated. Believing in God would be like being scared of the dark, you are fearing/believing in the unknown, that is why i dont buy into religion.

I think you're right... I think that maybe church and God are made so people can be used, while they "believe"... So that church can rule... Maybe I am wrong, but The Bible says not to kill, and then what was Inkvisition..? Church used to kill 1000s of women, people in the name of God... And what did he do..? Nothing...

^ That is especiaqlly true for how life used to be here in England a few centuries ago, and im sure in other parts of the world to. The church would offer to go around and 'cleanse' people of their sins, basically confession in the hope of being forgiven, however, this is ironic as the Bible and other religious books say only God has the power to firgive sins.
Other leading religions are not very far behind, the three Abrahamic religions all profess that it is wrong to kill, however all 3 religions were spread by the sword, at least to start with.

Well, Islam actually says that muslims should kill all other non-believers, until only Islam as religion remains... That doesn't make much sense to me... You should watch out for your brother in religion, it's a big sin to kill one of 'yours', but yet, it is okay to go killing around all those 'non-believers'... And if we are all the same and equal in front of God, then why does church (especially Catholic) is forgiving (never mind only God can forgive) sins only to people who can pay for that...?

The question i have is why would God call on either Moses Jesus or Muhammad to deliever his message, and not just show himself, we are being asked to believe in something we cant see, it makes me wonder whether this whole religion thing is just an excuse to make money...

Well, I believe in God only because I was taught to do so.
I don't know, I agree with what newboy said, why doesn't God show himself? He did it in the past, and all of a sudden, he decided that he won't have any contact with us anymore. Puh-lease.

^ When did he show himself in the past?

He showed himself to Moses, as far as I know.
But I never really read the Bible, so yea.

But how do we know Moses was not lying, or perhaps hallucinating?

We don't know that. That's why I think that Bible is nothing but bunch of made up stuff. And that's why I never read it. Gosh, I am so religious.

The only religion I could believe to was the one named Catharism. "Catharism was a name given to a Christian religious sect with dualistic and gnostic elements that appeared in the Languedoc region of France in the 11th century and flourished in the 12th and 13th centuries."
